As a photographer, I burn the midnight oil quite a bit, so this late to me/early to you post is nothing out of the norm. I seem to do my best work in the still hours of the night I’ve found. Whether it be perusing old vinyl or new sounds online, cataloging my photos, or letting my mind run wild with writing, I’ve always found joy in all of it.
The sweet release of the artist inside of me is the total counter to the day to day tedium of IT work that I do. I thank God that I don’t have any deeper vices other than an occasional drink and that my habits actually are able to help further my involvement with that which I hold dear. Music and the madness that goes with it (for me from both sides of the DJ booth as the listener AND the dancer) has excited and educated me far beyond my years. The ties made from nightlife are forever and forever I am grateful.
The photography helps me to remember some of the faces and places that have helped make that journey towards progression both memorable and worthwhile.
I update the following on most Mondays with my sojourns from the weekend:
RANDOM IN DALLAS
Soon to follow there will be one for a local Karaoke gig I’ve picked up to shoot for. Keep posted for when that link goes live!
