Giving thanks AFTER Thanksgiving

Started in 48 degree weather in Dallas at 10 AM Thanksgiving morning and by 4 PM of the same day and some odd 297 miles later I was in balmy 78 degree heaven.  This was my reward for driving the distance:

Thanksgiving indeed.

Made it to and from in the new vehicle,  got a chance to catch up with some family and friends over the course of the long weekend, and learned a lot about my old stomping grounds and the way that Houston is coming up.  Definitely glad to take in the natural beauty of the Gulf Coast before I had to come back.  The Gulf by summer night with full moonlight is one of the most serene scenes you could ever ask for.  I hope to capture it next year.
