A long December…

Feels like it should be deeper into the month than it already is for as much as I’ve accomplished.  Caught Dealey Plaza by night, Christmas decor the city over (with a stop still needing to be made by North Park mall in order to catch one of the most awesome model train dioramas I’ve heard tell about), caught sight and sounds at some of the city’s newest dives, and made a trip to Austin.

It’s not even halfway through the month yet.

Was out sick from work due to the cold weather that has decided to linger over the course of the weekend (and that I drove 3 hours through to get back to home in).  Roy Ayers remix has done wonders to brighten my mood.  Listen for yourself:

Here’s what the weekend looked like (in photo review and not in chronological order):

Got a chance to play records, had to swap out for bringing a hard drive and working a Mac, but still was able to get people into the groove.  Looks like the magic moves from city to city as long as you are willing to put some effort into things.  Have camera (and music), will travel!
