Spoke about The Smoke and this event after attending one of their parties last month and was not disappointed with my return visit.
I even brought my dancing shoes this time!
Caught up with some familiar faces from last time and saw a lot of new feet that decided to also show up to see how the 60s did things. The treat was that this time they had imported a disc jockey of the Northern Soul era from the UK by the name of DJ Finny. He recounted some of the mirth and magic that made Wigan Casino what it was and inspired the crowd with some of the same fervor.
Lots of spins, twists, shuffle steps, and swing-out grooving going on that night at the top of Sons of Hermann Hall.
