A new day and another week but in keeping with trying to keep things fresh and new, I’ve added a RATING BUTTON to the blog. If you are not able to comment (thanks to those that do, it is appreciated!), feel free to rank the blog entries themselves. Any and all feedback is appreciated and helps me figure what topics/photos go over better than others.
Dallas’ 40 day streak of 100 degree weather finally came to an end (albeit it a brief respite) with rain this weekend, but it made getting out a tad bit easier and less taxing. The call of the State Fair is only so far away now and the return of what Texas calls fall is just around the corner. We have made it to and almost through the “Dog Days” of August and the trappings of summer are slowly fading. All that is left is to cap it all off with the Labor Day weekend.
Anime Fest (the second biggest Anime convention in Dallas) will be held at the Hyatt Regency in the West End and this year will see MC Squared (http://www.podomatic.com/profile/kernbrouillard) hosting LIVE from the event. I am both pleased and honored to be a part of the event as opposed to being just a spectator this year. Expect a slew of pictures at the end of the month of both holiday and convention pictures!
That all being said, here is today’s set:
Today’s post title comes from Donald Byrd’s album of the same title (whose cover holds beautiful Bokeh on its cover). Bokeh is the blur, or the aesthetic quality of the blur, in out-of-focus areas of an image, or “the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light.”
The parallelism of art and music is one that something that cannot be escaped and so I find myself walking the road in between both the sound and the fury. With that pair as balance, life is no longer a ride between Scylla and Charybdis to be feared, but a path with enlightenment on either side as guiding rails.
Here’s the main link back to this year’s body of work (From the Road and Random in Dallas are the mainstays. Random in Dallas also has SUB folders to look through for different events):
Enjoy till Thursday!
