Highway Chile (Slight Return)

A journey of almost 800 total miles in 3 days between my childhood home and my current home, a feast to celebrate my mother’s birthday, and a visit well overdue that was well-received.

I traveled the I-45 and I-10 corridors and found myself comfortably lost on roads I’d once known in towns I’d not been in for some time (I even stopped by in Vidor which is a story all in itself).  Funny how all roads tie together eventually (just like castles made of sand).

Here’s today’s highlights:

Today’s title source (for all you musicologists out there, I know that there is NO such creature as “Highway Chile (Slight Return)”.  (I’m not ready to trade in my Rock N Roll badge just yet, LOL):

Thursday will offer more on the stop in Vidor, a brief history lesson, and the remainder of my shots from this past weekend’s adventure on Texan roads.

Here’s a quick link to all of the CURRENT pictures of the From the Road series:

Until then, my friends!  Don’t forget to share this blog or mark it for future reference if you enjoy what you’ve read so far!
