The closer we get to Halloween, the more that today’s title (and song choice) stand out.
The Dallas art community lost a strong soldier this past weekend by the name of Alvaro Angeles. His nickname was Minus, but he added to everything he was a part of. His smile, his enthusiasm, and his talent will be missed. RIP and Godspeed you, my friend.
If you do or didn’t know him, here is a link to the person (and the respect he garnered during his time here with us on Earth):
In a twisted parallel, this was also the weekend of the annual Zombie Walk in Deep Ellum on Saturday. I got a few choice pics from there, from The Goat on Sunday, and some from Ghostbar on Friday. The weekend was busier than I planned it to be, but I cannot complain (because it wouldn’t do much good anyway, haha).
Here we go in no particular order:
The lessons from this weekend stand as live right and well as we do not know how much time we are given in this life, beware of the undead (no matter how cute they may be), and if you give the shirt off your back you may get your bar tab paid for.
You can’t take it with you when you go, but you can leave a hell of a lot if you make your memory one worth keeping. That’s the truth.
Be most excellent unto each other!
