As you already know, today is Valentine’s Day.
I dedicate today’s entry to two couples that inspire the hope that marriage may not be such a bad thing after all. The first nod is to my mother and stepfather (who I love as my father as well) for SEVENTEEN years of marriage and the second nod is to Antonio and Erin Riggsmith.
Both of you are proof of how far America has come in understanding what love is and how far it can go when unhindered. Here is a salute to your longevity and to many more years of wedded bliss for you (and the rest of my married friends out there). It’s sorting out the boxes inside the boxes that prove the depth of your commitment.
To the rest of you out there living the single life, don’t worry. Today is more reason to have extra cash in our pockets. I’m not in a mad dash to run into the aforementioned. Love sometimes doesn’t need to have a piece of paper to back it. Love is.
Happy Valentine’s Day, y’all!
