Come On, Come On

Summer has lingered long enough for me to sneak in a trip down to the Gulf of Mexico one more time before it’s completely gone, so I made the best of it.  A quick run through Galveston Bay, the Bolivar Peninsula, and the remains of the area’s sordid past with hurricanes were my focus.

The moon is no longer all I hope to capture on my next return there now.  The focus is much more wide now that I’ve seen another story waiting to be told there.

I took a bag full of cassette tapes with me for the trip and discovered a slew of tracks/music that I had completely forgotten about.  Never underestimate the power of a GOOD road trip to either create or call back to mind amazing memories.
